Akila was born in Windsor, NSW and grew up in Western Sydney. He was then fortunate enough to enter dental school. Akila graduated dentistry with a first-class honors and continued on to work as a general dentist both in the public and private sector.

Akila was then fortunate to be offered a place in specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Sydney and the University of Queensland.

Akila provides the best care to his patients and strives to achieve a high level of aesthetic quality and long term stable clinical outcomes for all of his cases. He practices a wide spectrum of surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies and implant dentistry.
